Chip Li is a Ph.D. student in Educational Technology at the School of Teaching and Learning, University of Florida, working under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Botelho. His research focuses on Learning Analytics, Educational Data Mining, and the application of AI in education, particularly in developing explainable AI systems for educational feedback and enhancing collaborative learning environments.
Before joining UF, Chip earned Master's degrees from both Johns Hopkins University and the University of Southampton (UK). With extensive experience in full-stack development and machine learning, he has developed various AI-powered educational platforms and tools. His technical expertise spans across modern web technologies, cloud computing, and large language models, which he applies to solve complex educational challenges.
As the AI Architect for VETTING Chat, Chip contributes to developing AI-powered educational tools that aim to enhance learning experiences. He oversees the technical architecture and implementation of the platform, focusing on creating scalable solutions for AI-driven educational interactions while ensuring robust data analytics capabilities and system security.
Through combining software engineering expertise with educational research insights, he works to create innovative technical solutions that address real challenges in education while ensuring system reliability and performance.
